By adding fillers to the epoxy mixture, the required consistency can be created. An unthickened resin / hardener mixture has a consistency of syrup and drips on vertical surfaces (suitable for coating and filling porous surfaces). By adding an appropriate amount of the filler, a "thicker" consistency can be created (suitable for filling cavities, fillets, for the production of large, uneven bondings and for use as a filler). Collodial Silica 406 is especially suitable for thickening epoxy.
